Important Information

Please note that the Morey Neighborhood Center swimming lessons take place at National Jewish Health, southwest corner of Colfax and Colorado.  If you are heading east on Colfax, you would make a right turn into the parking lot, just before the building (just before Colorado).

You can park in the lot – there are plenty of spaces.  Enter at the roundabout.  You must sign in at the front desk.

To get to the pool, you must go down the elevator one floor, walk through the basement following the signs to the pool, then go up the elevator one floor.  (Usually the front desk will give you a paper with directions.)  It takes a little time to make your way to the pool from the entrance to the hospital, so leave yourself some extra time to get to the pool.  Enter the pool through the locker rooms.

Due to the nature of the hospital, no food or drink is allowed inside the pool area.  Just outside the pool door, near the elevator, there is a conference table and you can eat/drink there.

No parents are allowed in the pool except for the parent/child class. No children are allowed in, or at the edge, of the pool unless it is during their class time.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS: Parents are not permitted in the pool. Children are not permitted in the pool except during their class time. All swimmers must leave the pool when their lesson is over. Due to the respiratory concerns of patients at the hospital, no perfumes, cologne, hairspray or any type of perfuming sprays are allowed in the building. No food or drink is allowed anywhere in the hospital. Please do not bring coffee, pop, or snacks for the kids into the pool area. No smoking is allowed anywhere on hospital property. All perimeter doors must remain locked. Please respect hospital security precautions by entering and exiting the pool area only through the main hospital doors. For safety precautions, there is no adult swim or use of the diving board during lessons. Any diving must be supervised by the instructors as part of the children’s lessons. Plastic pants and a cloth or swimming diaper is required for any child who is not potty trained.
