Children’s Swim Instructors & Lifeguard Needed! $14.50/hr! (Central Denver)
SWIM INSTRUCTORS and LIFEGUARDS are needed for children’s swimming lessons on Saturdays. Lessons take place all year round on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:15 pm. (Note: We will have enough swim instructors on staff so that you can take some Saturdays off.)
Lessons are held at the warm indoor pool at National Jewish Health and are coordinated by Morey Neighborhood Center (a partnership between Denver Parks and Recreation and Denver Public Schools).
Our program teaches students from 6 months to 12 years of age. The skills we teach range from introduction to the water to advanced technique. Swim instructors will work directly with students teaching them swimming skills. No pool maintenance is required (no pool tests, chemicals, disinfecting the pool deck, etc.)! Friendly and fun work environment.
CURRENT LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED. Pay $14.50/hr.

Sports & Fitness Specialist
Small school-based community recreation center seeking part-time sports and fitness specialist to work with youth and adults. Primary responsibilities include:
-Supervise middle school youth playing non-competitive sports (mostly basketball) as part of after-school program.
-Supervise and monitor recreation program for adults and youth (grades 6-12) who visit recreation center to play basketball and utilize weight room, including assistance on using various machines and weights.
-Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and experience in instructing, teaching, or coaching is highly preferred. Experience in youth behavior management with the ability to supervise groups of youth is desirable.
Hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:45 or 3:00 pm – 7:45 pm.

Assistant Site Coordinator – FILLED
Morey Neighborhood Center is seeking a part-time Assistant Site Coordinator to help plan and implement after school programs and adult evening programs, assist with data entry and program management, and conduct other duties as assigned. Essential Functions include:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, publicizing and overseeing after school and evening programs for students and adults
- Assist in organizing all related logistics for the program
- Track and maintain daily student and adult attendance records
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly data regarding attendance, registrations, and payments
- Assist in registering youth and adults for programming and processing payments
- Interact with students, school staff and leadership, and adult program participants
- Assist in coordinating staff and supervising student attendees
- Provide materials needed to support staff in a timely manner
- Supervise groups of students as necessary
Requirements/Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in education, administration, community, human services, or related field
- Experience working with youth
- Strong administrative and organization skills and ability to multi-task. Detail-oriented.
- Excellent computer skills, with data base experience a plus
- Flexible, self-motivated and dependable individual
Work Hours: Monday & Wednesday, 2pm – 7:30 or 8 pm, and Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Friday flexible. 15-20 hours per week
Pay: $15 per hour DOE
