Edible Gardening in Denver – Wednesdays, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
High altitude, strong sun, and a short outdoor growing season can make gardening in Denver a challenge. Experts from Slow Food Denver will show you how Denver gardening can be rewarding and delicious too. They will take you through a new subject every week including garden planning, seeds, herbs, plants, edible perennials, vegetable gardens, composting, harvesting, and plant care. Seeds and some resources will be provided. Use the Morey Middle School Community Garden for practice!
Instructor: Gigia Kolouch, Slow Food Denver
Wednesdays, March 22 – May 24

Get Knitting! – Mondays, 6:15 – 7:30 pm
Have you always wanted to make your own scarf? Or, do you have a pattern or project and need help along the way?  Beginners will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, as well as basic increases and decreases.  More advanced students will learn how to read patterns, correct mistakes, and make an item fit.  The small class size allows for personal attention.  When the class is over, show off to your friends and family! For new students, we recommend size 7 or 8 needles and cotton yarn, such as Sugar’n Cream.
Instructor: Sarah Ternan

10 weeks – no class Feb 20 (Pres Day) or March 27 (Spring Break)
Makeup dates, if needed: May 8, 15
